"Panther" is the hot, new "Alternative Soul" group started by jazz guitar veteran Mark Whitfield. This comes after more than 15 years of being one of the jazz world's most respected and sought after guitarist. Releasing 10 sucessful solo albums for the Warner Bros., Verve, and Transparent Music recording companies, and appearing on more that 50 recordings for other jazz and soul artists like Jimmy Smith, Cedar Walton, Cleo Laine, Shirley Horn, Incognito, D'Angelo, Mary J. Blidge and Ali Shaheed Muhammed (Tribe Called Quest).
To realize his vision of creating a new musical style best described as "Alternative Soul", Mark has brought together an exciting group of musician/singer/songwriters...
